Alice Newton is a tenured Professor in the Faculty of Science and Technology of the University of Algarve and is member of the CIMA research centre, and a senior researcher with the Norwegian Institute of Air Research (NILU), Department of Ecology and Research.
The University of Algarve UALG is a public higher education institution located in the southern part of Portugal. In the academic year of 20122013 there were circa 8.046 students of which 1205 were enrolled in postgraduate programs. The University’s core research and teaching areas are: science and technology, management and economy, earth and marine sciences, social sciences and more recently health.
